Key Account Manager for the Wales and South West
Phil Jones is Go Geothermal’s new Key Account Manager for Wales and South-West region.
Phil has worked in the heating industry for almost 40 years so comes to us with tremendous sector experience.
He’s also been involved in renewable energy technology for over 20 years, starting with solar thermal heating and then moving to heat pumps as the technology has developed over the years.
Phil worked with Viessman, the world’s leading manufacturer of high-efficiency heating and renewable energy systems, for eight years. Go Geothermal supplies products made by Viessman.
During his career, Phil has performed a number of different roles, including Regional Sales Manager.
At Go Geothermal he will be responsible for managing our existing client base in Wales and the South-West, as well as introducing our products to more businesses and organisations, including housebuilders, installers, and merchants.
Phil says: “I am pleased to be joining Go Geothermal at a time when the company is actively growing and extending its reach across the UK.
“It’s a great opportunity, especially as the renewable energy sector continues to flourish as more people become aware of the importance of switching from fossil fuels to more environmentally friendly and efficient heating solutions.”
Phil says he is also looking forward to bringing his technical expertise to bear in his new role with Go Geothermal.
He explains: “I have always enjoyed getting to understanding the technical side of products and this is important in sales these days as there is an expectation, rightfully, that you don’t just sell a product but can explain it in detail as well.
“I am also looking forward to being part of the drive by Go Geothermal to train and upskill the workforce as we transition away from fossil fuels to renewables.
“When you bring everything together, it means we can offer a real cradle to grave partnership approach.”
Outside of work, Phil enjoys spending time with his family, including his three grandchildren, going on holiday, and playing golf.
