CTC Installer Warranty

1. WARRANTY

For the period starting from the date of commissioning or 6 months from the date of despatch, the standard warranty period is 24 months for parts and labour only. The CTC Air & Ground Source Heat Pumps (products) shall receive CTC- UK’s standard warranty on the product installed, subject to the following provisions set out below.

That the product has been paid for in full and the title has passed from CTC.

That the product has been installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and has been installed by a competent installer with relevant qualifications.

The warranty only applies to parts and components within the CTC product range and therefore doesn’t include any pipework, connections or other ancillary equipment connected to the product.

CTC reserve the right to inspect the product, at the premises, before the commencement of any warranty work.
The 24 month warranty covers parts and labour in relation to the CTC manufactured parts that have become defective due to faulty design and/or material. Once inspected either on site or faulty product returned for inspection.

The CTC product must be protected by an approved magnetic system filter installed and placed on the return pipe back to the CTC unit.

2. ACTIVIATION OF WARRANTY

The product must be commissioned by the installer. When completed a copy of the commissioning report will need to be sent to CTC-UK to activate the warranty, this must be done within 30 days of the CTC Heat Pump being commissioned by following the link below, failure to do so may affect the warranty: https://www.ctc-uk.com/product-registration/ The warranty commences from the date of commissioning or 6 months from the date of despatch, whichever date occurs first. Once the warranty is activated an official warranty certificate will be issued to the installer.

Extended Warranty Option:

Customers wishing to obtain the extended 7-year parts and labour warranty, who have not purchased their cylinder/buffer from Go Geothermal or whose installer has not attended the CTC training course, may do so for an additional fee of £300 plus VAT. The following conditions apply:

Comprehensive information regarding the system, including appliances and system design, must be provided.

The extended warranty must be purchased within 30 days of receiving the standard warranty certificate, starting from the date of purchase of the CTC product from Go Geothermal.

The £300 plus VAT fee covers the CTC products installed in one individual property/building.

3. MAINTENANCE

The product must be maintained in accordance with the Product manufacturers instructions as described in the installation and servicing manuals provided with the product. Annual servicing is required. Upon Annual Service all service records must be completed with the service log sheet, the completed log sheet should clearly state that the fluids and filters were checked & replaced/ filled or cleaned appropriately. Failure to provide this as a bare minimum on service records WILL negate your warranty. Annual brine maintenance involves the following parameters: • The Glycol pressure is sustained between, 0.5-2.0 Bar.

Glycol freezing temperature is maintained at -15 degrees Celsius. • Filter cleaning. If these maintenance requirements are not constantly adhered to, the warranty will become void. The product will then only be covered for the statutory 12-month parts-only warranty. If as part of the Warranty claim Go Geothermal Ltd may request the original design detail (e.g. Desktop modelling print off for MCS) this must be provided, as offers reassurance against under or oversized collectors. This will include vertical driller’s involved consequently providing proof of the depth drilled and materials used.
