We were asked to devise a bespoke intelligent and renewable energy solution for an exclusive development of 12 high-end studio apartments in the sought after central Wakefield area of College Grove.

The developer, Libertas Proprietas Ltd, had completely renovated an old building to provide 12 ensuite apartments, which also include communal kitchens, laundry room and a cinema room.

After discussing options with the developer and installer, we supplied two CTC EcoAir 622 Air Source Heat Pumps. These pumps are optimised to make the best possible use of eco-friendly energy in the air and features including Best Energy Class A+++, extremely low noise level, produces up to 80% lower heating costs and a highest seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP): SCOP of 4.9.

In addition, we supplied a CTC EcoZenith i555 thermal store with built-in intelligent controls, and a 300-litre Joule hot water cylinder.

Gary Douglas, Director of Yorkshire Renewable Energy Solutions, said:

This was a great opportunity for us to deliver a bespoke solution right on our doorstep. This was a prestige redevelopment but had quite specific requirements. Working closely with the client and Go Geothermal we were able to satisfy the clients requirements and deliver a renewable energy solution in keeping with this development.”
